I am the cute little three month old Chihuahua pup in the picture . Pay no attention to the big ugly thing next to me. He’s my twin brother, and he’s a bully. Always shoving me aside and trying to steal the best bits of food.
But I stand up to him. I’m still too small to bark, but there’s nothing wrong with my teeth. I squeak angrily at him and give him the what for when he goes too far. I’ll be glad when he gets sold and I’m top pup around here.
I started this blog because I am too small to leave the house, and I am lonely. I can look out the sliding glass door and see a big world, but I am too small to explore it. In fact, I am one of the smallest dogs in the world.
It’s cold outside. I am so small, I need to wear a sweater every day, even the sunny ones. Of course, I’m too special for just any sweater. None of the ones in the store fit me. Finally my owner custom made one for me from a child’s sock.
I also need a name. So I thought maybe the readers of this blog could name me. Just leave a suggestion in the comment box, and the best names will be picked next week. Then everyone can vote for the final name.

Today has been a busy day. My owners built a little ramp so I can get up to the couch. I have gone up several times, but I’m a little afraid to go down. Maybe in a day or two.
They also bought me something called a harness. but it was too big. I think they are going to fix it. I heard them saying needle and fishing line and leash, so they are up to something.
I forgot to tell you, I am a girl. But don’t let that make you think I am a softie. Of course, I love to be cuddled.
My owner is trying to make me sleep in a purse. I’d much rather sleep next to her chin. She’s been dropping bits of food in the purse, and I have so much fun going in to find it. But when I want to sleep, I want to be under her chin. No purse for me.
My owners seem confused. They call me gidget sometimes, and sometimes bugsy. Some days they call me little bit or half bit. I’ll be glad when you give me a name and they stop all this weirdness. I mean–half bit? I’m much more important than that.
That is all for now. there is a warm spot by the heater that is calling my name.

Yesterday was quite a day for me. My female owner kept fiddling with the harness until she got it small enough to fit. Then she hooked both ends of a leash onto it, and put the whole thing around her neck.
For the first time, she let me go to sleep without forcing me into the purse. But I rolled off her and down onto the purse partway through my nap. I was too sleepy to get up, so I slept on the purse, and it was nice and comfortable.
My male owner let me go out on the porch today. I loved being in the sunlight. My mother went out and played with me. The porch is such an exciting place. I hope I get to go out tomorrow.
Of course, my male owner is still calling me strange things. Today he called me a little bug. I mean, I do have big round eyes. But a bug? Do I look like a bug to you? I wish I was large enough to bark, I tried to tell him off. But when he hears my little squeaks, he just laughs.
My female owner told me not to worry. I was a cute little love bug. But that was not much of a comfort.
This morning was very cold and I stayed in bed on the warm heating pad for a long time. I wasn’t the only one in the family wearing a sweater today.

It has been so cold here the last few days. I haven’t even tried to go out on the porch. My parents spend most of the time sleeping under the blanket, even though they wear sweaters.I’m glad to have a heating blanket in my bed. I’ve been wearing a sweater, also. Today I got to wear my striped one. It is my favorite.
Unfortunately, all my sweaters tend to get caught in my toenails. I think it is the fuzzy yarn they are made from. I saw some little socks on the table today, and think they are to make new sweaters. They aren’t so fuzzy, so maybe they won’t get caught in my toenails. (also, my owner clipped my nails today.
The house finally warmed up enough to get the sweaters off. It felt so good to have a good scratch without a sweater getting in the way. My father did a cute little naked dance in celebration. Everyone was happy and played a while. The sun was coming in the corner of one window, and we all played there.
Tomorrow I will look at the names and see what I think of them.Hope you are warm during this cold week.

I am glad it isn’t so cold. Of course, I still need to wear my jacket and sleep on the heating pad. But I am a lot more comfortable now.
My legs have gotten longer and my body is also a bit longer. I don’t run sideways (like a little pup) anymore.
I read the names carefully. I liked the name Tater Tot. But I look more like a burned tater than a normal one. So I chose Tiny Tot.
It is such a relief to have a name. My male owner still sometimes calls me Tiny Bug, but he is doing better.
I found the bag my female owner wears is very confortable for napping. It is warm and cozy.
I think I will post a new picture each post. That way you will all get to see my beauty and appreciate me as a dog of my quality should be appreciated.

I went to a strange place called Walmart. I rode in my purse, and saw lots of things. There were people there who petted me and a few even kissed me.
The lights were bright, and there were shelves filled with interesting smells, My female owner bought me something tasty.
It was cold outside, so I was glad to cuddle down into my purse when we were outside. But in the car, I crept out and looked through the window. I had fun.

Today I got my first gift. I don’t understand this Christmas thing, but I think someting was wrong with my gift. It was a cute scarf and hat.
However, I suspect it was supposed to fit me. It didn’t.
As you can see in the the photo, I could have used the hat for a bed. The scarf kept getting tangled in my feet and falling around my derieire. I think I will stick with my sweater.
But I did get to eat chicken while my owner tried to get a good picture of me, so that made it nice.
I’d like to see more of this Christmas stuff.

I went to Walmart one more time before Christmas. There were people everywhere, and many of them took the time to pet me and tell me how wonderful I was.
Unfortunately, my owner neglected to buy me my treat. She must have been preoccupied, she knows I get a treat at Walmart.
We stopped at someone’s house, and they gave my owner some cookies. I got a few bites of those-yummy.
Yesterday was Christmas.
There were lots of presents opened. I found one box that smelled interesting, but it was empty.
Everyone was laughing and happy, and I got lots of attention.
I would have rather had chicken.
I played with my family, and it was a good day. Hope yours was as happy.

I’m sorry I haven’t written in a while, but I have been having so much fun that I forgot. I have been visiting stores around town and seeing so many nice people. I love it when they come up to me and pet me. I am a bit cautious around children, but so far, even they have been gentle.

I went to the vet for my rabies shot and they gave me a shiny tag that fits on my harness. It goes dingle every time I move, and I love it. I only wear it when I go out, but it is fun.
As you can see from the picture, my brother is getting even bigger. My owner thinks he might weigh 5 lbs when he is grown. I weigh just a pound.

It has been so cold and wet the last few weeks. I have hardly put my nose out the front door. The porch has been too wet and windy to play on very long. I spend most of my time cuddling up near the heater.
But the rain stopped and I am looking forward to playing outside tomorrow.
A friend brought some new stuffed toys to the house. They make delightful squeaky sounds. All of us enjoy playing with them.
My owner baked some bread the other day. It is good, multi-grain bread, so she let me have a tiny piece–yum, yum. I would have eaten more, but she didn’t offer it to me.
Today, she dropped a bit of onion skin on the floor. I had so much fun running with it and playing. It was small enough I could hide it in my mouth when she looked. I had lots of fun, but she saw it and managed to take it away — sigh!

I found the dog door. I’ve watched the other dogs go behind a towel and disappear, but when I stuck my head behind he towel, I just saw another towel. A few days ago I decided to take a few steps more and push past the second towel. To my surprise and delight, I saw the porch. I went in and out a few times.
The next day I tried again. This time I followed the other dogs off the porch and into the yard. It is a different world. There are plants out there, and dirt to dig in. I found dead leaves to chew on and small moving things to chase.
Sometimes the sun is shining, and sometimed the rain comes down. It is cold either way, and my little feet get chilled. I don’t stay out very long. Still, I go out every day, and that is an adventure.
